Doug Scott build3

Getting engine and drive lined up with rear wheel sprocket

Setting rear fender and installing clutch section, the clutch springs shown on clutch is set for drag pressure and three of them can be removed for ease of clutch handle. There are 9 and six is all needed for normal street. I always remove 3 of the, in a diamond area equal area. Used chain primary and O Ring chain drive. The 127ci/150+HP needs a steel drive section, not rubber. Cant hear the chain over the pipes and if you need to fix on a trip its just the cost of the master link in your bag, not a $300.00 trip to a shop.

Setting up to weld in tank mounts and align tank, seat and rear fender, Bike in line and setting front section, forks. Had to run a tap in all threaded holes to assure proper threading & depth. POPPAJOHN did not approve the front wheel being off center, jumped Chris's ass, had it removed and put back right.

Everything checked for fit now we disassemble, weld on all mountings necessary, need to order special chrome bolts to replace cad bolts in front end. all wiring pulled through bars to hide. I know it seems like a long time to assemble but we are taking our time and doing it right. Only one assembler and helper on a build, nobody else touches it.

Tanks mounts welded on and ready to run all wiring, tank and fenders being painted and cured, will be tied up next week doing wiring, final prep before final assembly.  Look for more info after Wed, maybe next Friday. Brandy, Chris and Myself taking a couple days off after week-end work to order some special bolts and make up wiring harness.

Into wiring and waiting on fender you want to arrive so can paint and finish assembly, custom fender should be ready by tonight. Then we finish assembly and test. Will advise when you should plan to take off to come down, don't want to get you started this way to quick, need to check out 100% when complete.
